What is a Macro?
When you use Digital Works, you can construct circuits quickly and easily using various digital objects from the main toolbar. For example, you could wire four JK flip flops together to create a four bit binary counter circuit. A four bit binary counter is an extremely useful building block in many digital circuits. It would be a very tedious and time consuming process if we had to connect four flip flops together every time we needed a four bit binary counter.
Digital Works solves this problem through the use of reusable components or 'macros'. Once created, a macro can be selected from the Parts Centre and just dragged and dropped into the circuit workspace.
