Light Emitting Diode
This object enables you to monitor circuit output by attaching one or more Light Emitting Diodes (LEDs) to the circuit workspace. The LED object can be wired to a device that has an output.
Placing the Device
To place an LED into a circuit workspace, select the icon and move the mouse into the active view. Press the left mouse button to fix the object at the required location.
Changing Color
By selecting the device with the object selector tool and right clicking the mouse, the pop up option to change the color of the object is made available.
Output States
Normally, the output of the LED will be white for logic zero, or the currently selected LED color for logic high. However, if the LED is connected to the output of a tri-state device, a third color state will be shown if the output of the device is floating (disconnected/high-impedance).
Logic History
Select Add to Logic History to record the output from the LED to the Logic History Window. To view the results, select Logic History from the Tools menu.
